Give your lips a little natural, loving care.
Follow these five easy steps—and you’ll be ready to pucker up in no time!
Lips are like a sponge. When lips are dehydrated, they dry out and shrivel up but when exposed to moisture, they absorb it and plump up.
Ensure you drinking enough water to keep your body, skin and lips hydrated.
2.Break bad habits
Licking or biting your lips damages the protective barrier, causes redness and can dry out your lips & even cause painful sores.
Saliva contains digestive enzymes that can break down the skin barrier. Instead, of licking your lips to relieve dryness and add moisture regularly by applying lip balm- like our natural Strawberry lip balm. If you find you’re biting your lips, this could be due to habit or anxiety. Try some stress busting techniques like meditation, exercise or “me time”. Being aware will also help you stop yourself next time you go to bite your lips.
3.Know your balms
The skin on our lips is unlike anywhere else on our body- its very thin and has no oil glands. Lip balms are therefore very important for providing the missing barrier for your skin, helping to protect it from the elements. Look for hydrating ingredients like beeswax, shea butter, vitamin E and jojoba or coconut oils.

If your lips are already severely chapped or cracked, exfoliate with caution or wait till they have healed before you start to exfoliate.
If you are using a conventional, mainstream lip balm, it likely contains toxic chemicals. You could be digesting these toxins every time you inadvertently lick your lips. Also your skin absorbs these toxins into your bloodstream, where they then come into contact with every single cell.
Main stream lip balms may provide relief for a few hours, but they can ultimately make your chapped lips worse as they contain chemical irritants. Instead go for a natural lip balm like our Strawberry lip balm.
